Stix Asia Las Vegas Food Hall Is Coming to UnCommons: Here's What to Know

Remember The Sundry? The food hall that opened at UnCommons in the southwest valley, tried to make QR code ordering a personality, and then quietly shut down in June 2024 after barely a year? Yeah. That space sat empty for a while... but what's replacing it is a completely different story.

Stix Asia Food Hall is taking over all 18,000 square feet of that space, and construction started in late April 2026. The opening is targeted for fall 2026, and if what they built in Honolulu is any indication, Las Vegas is about to get one of the most interesting dining spots the southwest valley has ever seen.

It Started in Waikiki

Stix Asia opened its first location in February 2023 at Waikiki Shopping Plaza in Honolulu, taking over a shuttered basement food court and turning it into something people actually wanted to go to. Thirteen restaurants, a full bar, live cooking stations, and a vibe that felt like an Asian street market instead of a food court with a rebrand.

It worked. Las Vegas is now the first expansion outside Hawaii. It's the brand's mainland debut. Founder and CEO Frank Clark said it plainly: "Las Vegas, with its global reputation for pushing the boundaries of entertainment and dining, is the perfect stage for our next chapter." Hard to argue with that.

What's Actually Inside

The Las Vegas location is going big. Twelve food stalls, about 400 seats total between indoor and outdoor seating, an indoor bar, and an outdoor bar. The vendor mix is roughly 75% Japanese and 25% other Asian cuisines, so expect serious ramen, udon, yakitori skewers, takoyaki, sushi, izakaya-style small plates, dim sum, pho, and onigiri.

The lineup includes chefs with Michelin-recognized pedigrees and here's one worth paying attention to: a restaurant from Tokyo's Ginza district that has been operating for over 100 years. A century-old Tokyo institution setting up inside a mixed-use development off the 215 in southwest Las Vegas. That sentence should not make sense, and yet here we are.

Beyond the food, Clark says Stix Asia is planning monthly night markets, live entertainment, DJ events, and Lunar New Year celebrations. It's being built as a cultural destination, not just a place to eat.

The Three A's and Why It Matters

Clark runs everything by three rules: Asian, authentic, and affordable. That third one is probably the most important one for locals. You're not going to walk out of a place called a food hall having dropped $90 per person... that's not the point here. The whole philosophy is that food is how you get people to actually understand and connect with different cultures. Which sounds like a mission statement, but it's also just a good reason to eat ramen on a Tuesday.

There's also a deliberate rejection of the app-based, scan-a-QR-code ordering trend that helped sink The Sundry. Stix Asia is going old school: servers, table service, and actual human hospitality. Clark called it "the hospitality of Asia." It's also just the way people like to eat.

Where It Is and What UnCommons Is

If you haven't spent much time at UnCommons, it's worth knowing what you're dealing with. It's a 40-acre mixed-use development at the southeast corner of the 215 and Durango Drive, a project that's been growing for years and is finally hitting its stride.

We're talking 500,000 square feet of office space, 830+ residential units, restaurants, health and fitness studios, and a 5,000-square-foot event pavilion called The Assembly. Major tenants like DraftKings, Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, and Sotheby's have offices there. It's a real neighborhood, not a strip mall with ambitions. Stix Asia fits that energy.

When Does Stix Asia Las Vegas Open?

Construction kicked off at the end of April 2026 and the target opening is fall 2026. No official date has been announced yet, but the Instagram accounts are already live: @stixasia for the brand and @stixasia_lv specifically for the Las Vegas location, so that's where you'll get the update when a date drops.

When it does open, the address is 3900 S. Hualapai Way, right inside UnCommons. Southwest side, easy off the 215.
